Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains how SKP Converter at skpconverter.online handles information when you browse the website, use an account, submit feedback, or send a SketchUp model to our version-check and conversion APIs.
Model files and conversion results
Selecting a file in the homepage converter keeps it on your device until you click check or convert. Each action uploads the full SKP file to the backend processor. Version checking reads the file header; conversion processes the model and returns a downloadable SKP copy. Download links use local browser storage and are released when replaced or when you leave the page. There is no saved model history.
When you submit a file to an API, our backend forwards its binary contents to the configured SketchUp processing service. A version-check request reads the model header; it does not inspect geometry or guarantee that a conversion will succeed. A conversion request processes the model and streams a new SKP file back to you.
The website does not save API model inputs or results to its database, public gallery, or file storage, and these requests do not require an account. The API does not send the original filename to the processing service. File size, version information, status codes, and technical request details may be processed to complete the request or investigate errors.
Temporary files and downloads
According to the processing service's operating documentation, version checking receives the complete request but does not save the file to disk. Conversion uses a separate temporary directory for each request and cleans up temporary input and output files after the response finishes or processing fails.
The APIs do not provide a model library, conversion history, or a later download link. Keep the original model and save any successful response yourself. Temporary-file cleanup is different from retention of hosting, security, account, or support records.
Processing connection and security
The currently configured connection from our backend to the conversion service uses HTTP rather than HTTPS. An HTTPS connection to this website does not encrypt that separate processing connection. Consider whether this processing arrangement is appropriate before submitting a confidential, restricted, or personal-data-containing model.
We use access controls and service limits to help operate the site, but no online service can promise that every transmission or storage system is free from risk.
Account and feedback information
If you use an enabled sign-in method, we may receive your email address, name, profile image, authentication-provider identifier, and sign-in IP address. Session information is used to keep you signed in. Signing in is separate from anonymous SKP API requests; the conversion adapter does not attach an account identifier to your model.
If you send feedback or contact support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, error details, or transaction reference. Existing account or order records may also be used to resolve an account or billing query. Do not send passwords, full card details, or confidential model files in a support message.
Analytics, cookies, and browser settings
We load Plausible analytics from analytics.seedvoice.online to understand page visits, referral sources, device information, and general website usage. Plausible describes its standard analytics approach in its data policy; this site's configured analytics service is separate from Plausible's hosted service.
The current production configuration also enables Google Analytics, which collects usage and device information and can use first-party cookies to distinguish visits. See Google's analytics data-collection information. This website should not be understood as entirely cookie-free merely because it also uses Plausible.
Authentication can use cookies or similar session storage. Browser settings and privacy tools let you manage cookies and requests to analytics services; blocking sign-in cookies can affect account features. Model contents are not included in analytics events by the conversion adapter.
Why information is used and shared
We use information to deliver requested version checks and conversions, maintain accounts, understand site usage, respond to messages, diagnose failures, and protect the service from abuse. Hosting, authentication, database, analytics, and model-processing providers receive information needed for their roles. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address misuse and protect rights.
Service providers may process information in countries different from yours. We do not publish submitted models as examples or operate a marketplace for them. The conversion adapter does not use models to train an AI model.
Retention and your choices
Model-file handling is described above. Account, support, operational, and existing transaction records are separate and may be retained as needed to provide the relevant feature, investigate a request, protect the service, or meet applicable obligations. We do not promise one fixed retention period for every record or immediate removal from third-party logs and backups.
You can check a file version without signing in. Conversion requires an account; we store its introductory conversion allowance, check-in reward and deduction records, and reservation state, and paid order and subscription records where applicable. Waffo processes checkout and sends payment-status notifications; do not send payment-card details to our support team. Where applicable, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or raise an objection about its use. We may need to verify your identity and may need to keep information where an applicable obligation requires it. A privacy request does not require you to upload your model again.
Privacy questions and requests
Email support@skpconverter.online. Include enough information to identify your request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or confidential model files.
