Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms apply to SKP Converter at skpconverter.online, including its website, version guide, and backend file-processing APIs. Use the service only if you can agree to these terms and have permission to process the files you submit.
What the service provides
SKP Converter provides a browser-based file upload workflow and backend APIs for checking SKP file-header versions and converting between supported SKP formats. Upload one SKP file up to 100 MiB, check its header, select a target and download the converted copy. Outputs remain SKP files; export to other 3D formats is unavailable. A header check does not validate the entire model.
The current processing service accepts SKP files only. It does not export STL, OBJ, FBX, or other file types. Output from the conversion API remains an SKP file.
Supported files and target versions
Each file-processing request accepts one model between 60 bytes and 100 MiB, inclusive. Requests must follow the documented binary-upload format and size requirements.
Conversion targets are SketchUp 3–8 and 2013–2026. Targets 2021–2026 are aliases for a shared versionless format, rather than separate year-specific file formats. A request for a target such as 2026 may therefore return a file whose header records a different year, such as 2022. The response reports the requested target and actual file-header version separately.
These target parameters do not guarantee that every feature from a newer SketchUp release is preserved or behaves identically in an older application.
Version checks and model verification
A successful version check means the service recognized the file header and parsed its version. It does not verify model completeness, geometry, textures, ownership, or minimum desktop compatibility, and it does not guarantee a later conversion will succeed.
Keep an untouched copy of your source file. Before relying on a converted model, open it in the intended SketchUp application and review dimensions, units, geometry, materials, components, tags, scenes, and any features important to your project. You remain responsible for deciding whether a result is suitable for your use.
Your files and permissions
You retain your rights in the models you submit. Submitting a file gives the site and its processing provider permission to receive, process, and return that file solely as needed to fulfill your request and operate the service. It does not transfer ownership of the model to SKP Converter.
Only submit files you own or are authorized to process. You are responsible for third-party intellectual property, confidentiality obligations, personal information, and any restrictions on uploading or converting a model. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
Availability, failures, and downloads
Processing capacity is limited. Requests can be rejected while the service is busy, fail because a model cannot be processed, time out, or be interrupted during upload or download. Follow any retry guidance and avoid repeatedly resubmitting the same model while a request is still running.
The current APIs do not offer background jobs, saved conversion history, or later download links. Save a successful result when it is returned. A filename ending in SKP alone is not proof that a failed or interrupted download contains a valid model.
We may maintain, change, limit, or discontinue a feature, including when necessary for security or service operation. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a fixed processing speed, or compatibility with every model.
Free allowance and Premium billing
File-header version checking is free. SKP conversion requires an account. Each signed-in account receives one free successful conversion. After that, conversion requires an available check-in reward or an active Premium subscription. A failed or canceled output stream does not consume the introductory allowance. The introductory allowance is per account and does not renew with a billing period.
Each account may claim one check-in conversion per calendar day in Beijing time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8). Up to three unused check-in conversions may be saved; each expires seven days after receipt. At the cap, no reward is issued and the day is not marked claimed, so the account may claim after using or expiring a reward that day. Available check-in rewards are used in earliest-expiry order before the introductory allowance. A reward reserved while valid may finish its conversion after expiry. Failed or canceled output streams do not deduct it. Active Premium conversions do not consume check-in rewards; Premium users may claim rewards, which expire normally.
Premium costs $7 USD per month or $48 USD per year. Annual billing is one $48 payment, equivalent to $4 per month. Subscriptions renew automatically at the chosen billing frequency until canceled. Any applicable tax and the final total are presented at Waffo checkout before payment. Viewing the pricing page or opening checkout does not itself complete a purchase.
Premium access begins after a confirmed production payment and lasts through the confirmed paid period. Test payments and balances from earlier unrelated products do not grant SKP Premium. Unlimited conversions remain subject to processing capacity, file limits, timeouts, and the Acceptable Use Policy; they do not guarantee concurrent processing or a completion time.
To cancel future renewals, contact support@skpconverter.online using the email on your receipt and include your order reference before your next billing date. When cancellation is scheduled, access continues until the end of the confirmed paid period. Refund requests and billing disputes are addressed in the Refund Policy.
Accounts and security
If you choose to use an available account feature, provide accurate information and keep access to your sign-in provider secure. Do not share another person's account or credentials without permission. Report suspected misuse without sending passwords or full payment details.
Version checking is available without sign-in. Conversion access and the introductory allowance are checked on the server. Do not create accounts to circumvent the introductory allowance or other service limits.
Privacy and external services
File processing and other information handling are described in the Privacy Policy. The backend currently sends submitted models to a separate processing service over HTTP. You should assess whether that arrangement is appropriate for the information in your files.
Third-party applications and providers have their own terms and capabilities. SKP Converter is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Trimble or SketchUp. Their names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Limits and rights that remain yours
Guidance and conversion output may contain errors or omit unsupported features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without a guarantee of fitness for a particular project or of lossless conversion. You should not rely on an unverified output as the only copy of important work.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a consumer right, remedy, or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Questions and changes
Email support@skpconverter.online. Include enough information to identify your request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or confidential model files.
We may revise these terms as the service changes. The updated date identifies the revision in effect on this page. Review the current terms before using a materially changed feature.
